Notoriously Slippery

Notoriously Slippery

2024

UdK Berlin

"Slippery" is hard to grasp, it is sneaky and elusive, charming and dishonest. It can wheedle its way out of any situation and slip out of tight corners. It's dirty and disgusting, seductive and slimy, greasy and decadent. A non-linear anecdote told by ten drunk people on ice-skates. "Notoriously Slippery" was a course taught at UdK in the summer semester of 2024, together with Charlotte Hornung. Students engaged in an act of collaborative graphic storytelling, but also experimented with drawing - working with their own "slippery" drawing tools; oil and wax, slimy chia seeds, awkwardly sized paintbrushes. This culminated in a 3,60m long concertina book that can be read in a circular fashion.
